Lizz Floro is the Emergency Response Manager for the El Paso County Sheriff's Office and Deputy Fire Warden for El Paso County. She is a certified emergency manager with CEMA (CO-CEM) and IAEM (CEM), holds a master’s in Emergency & Disaster Management from Georgetown University, and a bachelor’s in Psychology and Religion from Goucher College. Lizz has 10 years of experience in emergency, disaster, public service, and homeland security; with specialties in continuity and critical infrastructure. She has been a CEMA member since moving to Colorado in 2019, and has served on the CEMA Board since 2024, having previously served as President for the Colorado Chapter of the Association of Continuity Professionals (2022-2023).
