The Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office is seeking a full-time, exempt, Manager of Community Recovery and Resilience to help lead Pueblo County’s long-term disaster recovery and resilience efforts.
This is a grant funded position for three years and works under the direction of the Emergency Management Coordinator. They will primarily focus on recovery from the Aspen Acres Fire while also helping strengthen the County’s ability to recover from future disasters.
The Manager of Community Recovery and Resilience will coordinate recovery planning, community recovery, infrastructure restoration, financial recovery, hazard mitigation, resilience initiatives, and intergovernmental partnerships. The position will work closely with County departments, municipalities, state and federal agencies, nonprofit organizations, contractors, utilities, special districts, businesses, and affected residents.
The successful candidate will also support disaster assistance programs, grants, reimbursements, project tracking, procurement, contracting, financial documentation, and regulatory compliance. The position may serve in a leadership role within the Pueblo County Emergency Operations Center and is subject to after-hours activation.
We are looking for an experienced professional who can manage complex projects, work across agencies and organizations, communicate clearly with residents and leadership, and help move a community from disaster response into long-term recovery.
COMPENSATION:
$6,523 to $9,786 per month
Starting salary: $8,114.48 per month
