GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY
The Emergency Planning and Recovery Manager is responsible for managing South Metro Fire Rescue’s comprehensive emergency management function in coordination with local, state, and federal agencies. This position provides emergency planning, preparedness, training, and project management. In addition, the Emergency Planning and Recovery Manager provides all-hazards risk assessments, on-call, and all-hazard emergency support to complex or extended incidents, prepares grant applications, and participates in the development of strategic initiatives to support the district’s primary mission.
