The Mountain Plains Regional Disaster Health Response System (MPRDHRS) is hosting two top tier courses designed to build and strengthen disaster health capabilities across Region VIII. Please see below for additional information and feel free to forward to any partners who may have interest! Both of these courses are open to individuals within HHS Region VIII.

Advanced Hazmat Life Support Provider/Instructor Course held from Wed 5/29/24 – Fri 5/31/24 at CU Anschutz Medical Campus (Aurora, CO)

  • This course aims to provide healthcare professionals comprehensive training in treating patients exposed to hazardous materials. In addition to the 2-day course, there is an optional half-day course offered for healthcare professionals who would like to become instructors – we hope that by training instructors throughout Region VIII we can offer this course again in other states to alleviate the burden of travel on attendees.
  • Enrollees can be NPs, toxicologists, pharmacists, EMS-CEP/EMT-P, respiratory therapists, PAs, Physician Fire – CEP/EMT-P, nurses, AEMT, Fire – EMT, and EMS – EMT-I. The MPRDHRS grant will cover the cost of registration and materials for all registrants from Region VIII
  • Registration closes 5/15/2024
